On December 2, 2023, the Kazakh Scientific Research Institute of Water Economy (KazSriwe) signed an agreement with Kepler Group (Kazakhstan) and Estbrand OU. The full name of the document is as follows: “International Agreement on the inclusion of underground water resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the development of the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the transparent settlement of water relations with bordering, friendly countries, as well as the provision of technical and salt water to the flora and fauna of the Aral Sea.”
In the above document, representatives of the Kepler Group and Estbrand propose to carry out a geophysical study of the selected territory of Kazakhstan for the presence of underground water reservoirs. In addition, as the name suggests, Kazakhstan is interested in solving one of its highest priority tasks – providing water to the Aral Sea area. As stated by the director of Estbrand, Mr. Mikhail Samoilov, the latest geophysical research technology will solve this problem in an adequate time frame and make it possible to revive the ecology of the region.
